Volumetric Weight

If the volumetric weight of a shipment exceeds the actual weight, it may impact the cost of shipping. This is also known as dimensional weight.

To calculate dimensional weight, multiply the length (in centimeters) by the width (in centimeters) by the height (in centimeters), and then divide the result by 5000. This will give you the dimensional weight in kilograms. Most express couriers, such as DHL, FedEx, and Aramex, use the greater of the actual weight or the dimensional weight when determining shipping costs.

Tips: It is recommended that you avoid using DHL, FedEx, or Aramex to ship parcels with large-sized items.
